The wedding was held at Magnolia Springs Manor on a warm (or shall I say hot) May day. I have to say that I was not disappointed with all the charm that the historic house had to offer. MSM, is quite adorable, located in downtown Helena it was the perfect venue for this beautiful wedding.

Kayla had this to say: ” First off, I want to thank Ellie for being a part of our special day! From the engagement session to the wedding day, she was just awesome and we absolutely love her work. The dress I wore is from David’s Bridal and was the second dress I tried on, but, I just knew it was “the one”. We chose baby blue and black for our colors because we wanted something simple but still pretty. Also, blue is both our favorite color! I am very glad we decided to do a first look, it calmed any nerves we might have had and didn’t take any excitement away from seeing each other when I walked down the isle!!! May 18th couldn’t have been more perfect!”

When you have a “first look” you are able to make the most of your photography package. How? well, by seeing each other prior to the ceremony your photographer is likely able to take many more pictures before the ceremony. This means you have more pictures(score) and you get to have have two huge moments captured- the 1st look and walking down the aisle.

If you have a “first look” you also maximize your time with your guests.Instead of doing most of the portraits after the ceremony, your photographer is able to take more pictures before the ceremony(as mentioned above). This allows you to get to your guests quicker so that you can enjoy your reception.

Lastly, and most important to me, a “first look” is amazing because it allows you to have a private moment with your groom. It is a priceless tender moment where you can let your raw emotions run by laughing, crying, kissing,hugging or jumping on each other without worrying about the need to keep your composure as everyone is watching you.

Trust me when I say that having a “first look” does not make the moment you walk down the aisle any less special. You will still have butterflies as you look on to you groom and all eyes are you. You will still be just as excited because the moment to say “I do” has finally arrived.
